Sawmill's Golf-Tennis Summer Camp

Week 1 - July 9th-13th

Week 2 - August 7th-10th

Sawmill is proud to be part of a community which actively supports the participation of our families in sports.  The Sawmill EXPERIENCE junior programs are an ideal way for kids to learn basic golf skills, develop proper swing techniques and build a solid foundation.  AND NOW…. The Sawmill EXPERIENCE has partnered with Niagara’s best international tennis facility – Niagara Academy.  Golf and tennis together for a week – can we say fore and love?

What to expect from Golf Lessons?

Kids will receive 2.5 hours of golf lessons Monday-Thursday with a PGA of Canada Coach.  We’ll teach fundamentals like grip, stance, posture and movement.

Kids will learn and practice short game skills (putting, chipping, and bunker shots) and spend time on the range developing or improving correct swing technique and consistent ball striking.  Kids will learn golf rules and etiquette.

Kids will play 9 holes on Sawmill on Thursday!  There will be adult volunteers with all groups.

What to expect from Tennis Lessons?

Tennis - 5 Skills of tennis - forehand, backhand, ground strokes, volleys, serve and return of serve. The technical and tactical elements of  the game.

Rules, regulations and etiquette of tennis.

Fitness - Appropriate to golf and tennis (sport specific) and their individual level of play. 1.5 tennis 15 break 

What to wear?

Golf - Khaki pants or shorts, Collared Shirt, Running shoes or Golf shoes, Hat Recommended

Tennis - Collared sport shirt, Shorts, Running shoes, Hat Recommended

Daily Schedule

8:45 - 9am Drop Off: Niagara Academy (3373 First Ave, Vineland)
9 – 10:30am - Tennis
10:30 – 12pm - Off Court Conditioning
12 - 12:30pm - Transportation to Sawmill
12:30 - 1pm - Lunch
1 - 4pm -Golf
4pm Pick up: Sawmill Golf (856 Sawmill Road, Fenwick)

Dates / Cost

Monday, July 9 - Friday, July 13 (5 days $340)

Tuesday August 7 - Friday August 10 (4 days $275)

What to Bring?

  1. Water bottle
  2. Snacks and/or lunch if providing your own.  Please make snacks something easy to eat.
  3. Golf clubs and tennis racquet if you have them. (If not, we can supply them.)
  4. Sunscreen - please apply before coming to camp.
